Welcome to the Kyiv International School After School Activities page.

Kyiv International School offers a wide range of activities and athletics for students through our Elementary Co-curricular Activities Program and our Middle School/Secondary School After School Activities Program.

These programs enable students to learn new skills, create new friendships, and develop life skills outside of the classroom. Middle School and Secondary School students also have the opportunity to travel and compete against other schools in Kyiv and throughout Eastern Europe.

Our Elementary Co-curricular Activities give students in the 5 year old to 10 year old classes an opportunity to try new and interesting activities such as Crafts, Chess, and Robotics as well as sports such as soccer, swimming, and basketball.

In our Middle / Secondary School After School Program students may take part in team sports such as soccer or basketball, or more individual challenges through the cross-country or tennis teams. Activities include Robotics programs, Mathematics competitions, and Model United Nations conferences, to name a few. Artistic events such as Drama Festivals, Choir, and Band competitions are also available to students at KIS.

As a member of CEESA (Central and Eastern European Schools Association), MS/Sec students at KIS have the opportunity to discover different cultures while competing in CEESA sponsored events across Europe.

KIS also plays host to international competitions giving our students an opportunity to host visiting students from around the world. Many teams at KIS participate in Kyiv Schools Sports League (KSSL) with local international schools and Ukrainian schools, allowing them the opportunity to compete head-to-head in preparation for these CEESA events.

If you have questions about any of our programs please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to seeing you—and hearing you—at our home games, cheering on our KIS Kozaks.

Best regards,

Marty Curry
