ENROLLMENT: The school encompasses ages 3 years old through Secondary 4 (18 years old) with a current enrollment of approximately 80 students. The Preschool and Elementary School has a combined enrollment of thirty-eight (38) students and the Secondary School has an enrollment of forty (40) students. Students at QSI International School of Phuket represent eighteen (18) different nationalities with seven percent (7%) being U.S citizens.

CURRICULUM: The school follows an American college preparatory curriculum including Advanced Placement courses. In addition to its scholastic goals, the school endeavors to provide its students with a specialized program including Thai language and culture to accommodate students wishing to pursue higher education in Thailand.

FACULTY: The school employs twelve (12) full-time foreign hire teachers, four (4) full time Thai Language/Culture teachers, one full time art/music teacher, no part-time teachers, two (2) paraprofessionals (teacher assistants), director, librarian, and ten (10) maintenance, office, and support personnel.

PHILOSOPHY: QSI International School of Phuket believes in a personalized approach to instruction leading to mastery within a positive and enjoyable learning environment. It offers a challenging academic curriculum for students ages 3 through Secondary 4 (18 year-olds).  Studies are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.

GRADING SYSTEM: Mastery of each essential unit is evaluated with an A or B (mastery grades). B represents mastery at a very good level and A represents mastery with the student demonstrating higher-order thinking skills. Mediocre or poor work, Cs and Ds, is not accepted, as students are required to engage in an essential unit they achieve mastery. If a student has mastered a unit with a B evaluation, the student may wish to demonstrate a higher level of mastery at a later time, within that current school year, to change the evaluation to an A. Time period (quarters, semesters, terms) are not used as an evaluation period. Instead, student performance is assessed on each essential or elective unit at the time the unit is completed to mastery.

CLASS RANK: Due to the mobility of QSI students and the relatively small graduating classes, as well as the variety of educational systems students come from, student class rank is not reported.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:  QSI International School of Phuket offers a variety of in school and after-school activities including student government, athletics, competitive sports teams, arts and crafts, cooking, guitar, and many others as determined through student interest.
