Dear Current and Prospective QSI Dushanbe Parents and Students,

Welcome to QSI International School of Dushanbe in the heart of Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  We are an international school with the primary mission of serving the expatriate community of this city.  We have been serving the Dushanbe community since 2004 and currently represent 25 nationalities within our school walls.  We are a QSI school and that means that we have a unique and well-rounded approach to education.

The QSI educational model of Mastery Learning is based on the philosophy that all students can achieve success.  This student-centered model builds and strengthens the foundation that a preK–12 education represents. Students who attend a QSI school do not have gaps in their learning. Our educational model addresses challenges and gaps with corrective instruction and teacher guidance until a student shows mastery. Our class sizes are small, which helps to create a strong family–school connection.

We believe that achieving success is based as much on character and attitude as it is on academic progress. Our Success Orientations (Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Kindness & Politeness, Independent Endeavor, Concern for Others, Group Interaction, and Aesthetic Appreciation) are clear guides which teachers and staff use to model and teach character education. We celebrate our successes together as a community, recognizing exemplary work and behavior.

Our academic program has the core subjects of mathematics, reading, writing, science, and cultural studies, and it also contains language studies, music, art, technology, and physical education. Our elementary activity program is a time of enrichment where students can be involved in music, dance, art, sports, and games, to name a few.  Students 12 years old and older can participate in sports such as cross country, basketball, badminton, volleyball, and track and field as well as other activities such as Model United Nations.

QSI International School of Dushanbe is governed by the Board of Directors of Quality Schools International, the membership of which is formed as set forth in the Bylaws of Quality Schools International. A local Advisory Board, composed of parents and community members who reside in Dushanbe, assists our school in its mission. The school is licensed by the Ministry of Education of Tajikistan and is fully accredited through Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

We invite you to come visit our school. Come see how our QSI school is a great place to be a student!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kimberley Black

Director, QSI International School of Dushanbe
