Welcome Letter
Welcome! Thank you so much for reaching out to QSI Suriname, part of the QSI worldwide family of 37 international schools in 30 countries. QSI schools worldwide are MSA accredited K-12 schools serving the expatriate, international business, and local community. Like all QSI schools, we commit to teaching to mastery. To support the success of all our students, we maintain small class sizes and employ both North American certified teachers along with talented, dedicated local teachers who act as a bridge between the international and local culture. MAP testing helps us monitor the success of our students, and we’re happy to report that our students as a group score consistently above the U.S. average in all age levels.

ACCREDITATION
The Middle States Association (MSA) is a worldwide leader in accreditation and school improvement. For over 125 years, Middle States has been helping school leaders establish and reach their goals, develop strategic plans, promote staff development, and advance student achievement.
QSI Schools are accredited through MSA. QSI International School of Suriname is working on self-study to achieve full accreditation. As part of the self-study, the school is identifying areas for growth and implementing a community-supported action plan to push the boundaries of success and achievement in the identified areas.
Currently Quality Schools International is working to achieve System-wide accreditation through MSA. Systems accreditation will allow QSI to reflect on where we are now, where we want to be in 5-7 years, and develop plans to reach our goals. MSA will review QSI’s plans to strengthen our organization and implement organization-wide improvement plans. Each of our schools will still be individually accredited, and MSA teams will visit each of our schools to verify that each school meets the standards for accreditation.
