Middle School Student Life

The Middle School Student Life program offers a wide variety of opportunities over the course of the school year for students ages 11 to 13.
The focus of the program is to promote student engagement on campus; nurture leadership skills, increase teamwork and positive group dynamics; and develop the individual and team skills needed for student athletes to be successful at the Secondary School level.

Athletics and Activities

Our Middle School athletic teams compete in our local Kyiv School’s Sports League (KSSL) as will as in the Central and Eastern Europe Sports Association (CEESA) tournaments.

Students have access to the school’s premier facilities including our indoor swimming pool; athletic field and track; two gymnasiums; fitness room; as well as robotics and Maker Space classrooms.

Students are guided by experienced coaches drawn from our school staff.

Middle School Athletics and Activities take place Tuesday through Friday from 3:45pm till 5:15pm.

Students who utilize the school’s transportation program are eligible to take the late bus home.

Kozak 30

Kozak 30 is a daily block of time at Kyiv International School dedicated to student led activities and is used to promote student engagement in mastery learning, leadership development and extracurricular activities.

Students have the freedom to chose what they do each day as Kozak 30 is a time for them to cultivating interest and skills in a wide range of activities.

Teachers keep office hours during Kozak 30 allowing students to receive personalize academic support.

Kozak 30 activities take place in the Student Center, Gym Top, Old Gym, Multi Purpose Room (MPR), Coffee Classroom, Outdoor Sports Court, and the Athletic Field.

Monday through Friday 11:21am to 11:51am.
