The last Quintile of this school year begins on Wednesday!  And, there is still so much happening before the end of the school year.

The Roots and Shoots group sponsored the first annual Earth Day Celebration last Friday.  Every class, from preschool through secondary, shared their community service projects.  The NGO or service organizations the students helped support were also on hand to provide additional information.  Student Council had their booth and sold “kid yummy” food for the evening.  The music department planned for all the students to perform and it made for a lively, fun event.  Thank you so much QSIT community!

Students have 34 more school days.  While this may seem like a long time to the younger students, the secondary students know this will fly by.  Please make sure your student is caught up on all their classes, and if you would like to conference with a teacher, please call the office and Tamo will help set this up for you.  Advanced Placement exams begin in two weeks and the students are working hard to prepare for these!

An update on the track and field.  The company has been hired and they have been here measuring and planning.  We will move the playing area for recess and outdoor PE to the lower field.  Some of the playground equipment will be moved to the lower field soon.  The track and field should be completed before school begins next year.  The upper field will be totally blocked off for construction, so please use the lower field on the weekends or evenings when you come to school as soon as you see it blocked off.

There are so many fun and challenging events left this year.  Don’t forget to read the Monday messages!
