Middle School and Secondary

The Middle School program for 12- and 13-year-olds meet the special needs for this age group. Courses offered provide a rigorous academic program to prepare the students for their secondary classes, while keeping them engaged with interesting projects. Students are involved in classes in Mathematics at the level and course they are prepared for, which varies with individual students. Literacy courses in Literature and Writing, Science, Cultural Studies, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Technology are also in their schedules. Intensive English classes are provided for those students who need support in order to be successful in their classes. Middle School students must have a firm grasp of English, and be able to take Secondary courses in English after the 13-year-olds program. All middle school students are enrolled in Foreign Language.

The Secondary program is for high school students, and will prepare them for college or university in the United States, or at any English-speaking university. The students take the mathematics courses they are prepared for, which may mean that students in the same class will be working on different courses. The students engage in Literature and Writing courses, Science, History and Geography, Art, Music, Computer Science, Physical Education, and Foreign Language. Although QSI International School of Dili is a small school, we are equipped to teach all secondary courses. Secondary teachers with AP experience can offer AP mathematics, science, literature, and history as needed.
