QSI international School of Dili offers After-School Activities (ASAs) on Tuesdays and Thursdays for students 5 to 11 years old. These activities are provided by teachers from 3:15 to 4 pm. Some of activities offered are: sports, games, music, computer club, cooking, and other activities that interest students. Additional support in reading and math may also be offered for students during ASAs. ASA activities change each quintile, and are usually five weeks in length.
Parents also support the school by providing ASAs. Some of the activities supported by parents include rugby and woodworking.
Community groups may also offer ASAs at QSID for a fee. Although the school will provide the information and space for these ASAs, they are not responsible for the instruction or fees charged.
Middle School and Secondary students may sign up for ASAs on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The activities offered are specifically geared for students of this age. Roots & Shoots, our community service group, meets one day a week to plan and organize all the community service for the year. Yearbook is offered on another day, giving students the opportunity to create and publish the school's yearbook. The third day has a variety of activities based on student interests expressed throughout the year.
