Elementary School Activities (ESA)
Every Monday and Friday from 3:00 until 3:45, the 5- through 10-year-old students have an opportunity to participate in different activities to learn and experience new things. This is a great opportunity for students to figure out what they enjoy. Students are able to choose from a variety of activities to learn and to create new things.
The 5- through 8-year-olds choose two different activities, which meet on Monday and Friday, allowing them to attend two different classes during the week. Additionally, the 5- though 8-year-old students have four different activities sessions, which enables them to experience eight different activities in a school year. Activities include baking and cooking, jewelry making, artistic design, introduction to sports, drama, science experiments, and much more!
The 9- through 10-year-olds choose one club, which they attend on Monday and Friday. These clubs meet over an entire semester, which allows students to gain a good understanding and a lot of practice in their new skill. Each student receives a club T-shirt to wear every Monday and Friday to their club meeting. Club choices range from soccer, DIY projects, chess, volleyball, guitar, geocaching, and many more!
This year the students have participated in drama, volleyball, soccer, basketball, geocaching, baking and cooking, art techniques and science experiments, just to name a few! The students are always eager for Monday and Friday afternoons so they can enjoy the fun, new experiences, and the togetherness their clubs bring.
