Another busy week at QSI... Our students have embraced Literacy Week! Students can be heard reciting poetry throughout the hallways, at the lunch tables, and even at recess. Tomorrow is dress like your favorite book character day and the Poetry Slam Finals will take place on Friday. Congratulations to all our semi-finalists and finalists. We invite all parents, students, and community members to join us at Espresso Lab at 6:00pm Friday evening!

This year QSI International School of Sarajevo is proudly hosting the 2018 CEESA HS Boys Soccer Tournament on April 12-15, 2018. All member schools are required to host at least one event each school year, and we need you to help us host 70-100 students from 7-10 different schools all over Europe. (Reminder: All middle school and secondary athletes are required to host at least two students.) Please sign up to host students during the soccer tournament at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0e4caeaf2aa7fe3-ceesa.

This week's edition of the Howler is lengthy and contains a lot of important dates and information. Please review it carefully. If you have not joined the Facebook group, please do so (https://www.facebook.com/groups/qsisarajevo/). School updates are posted regularly.

9-year-old through 13-year-old Ski Week has been an amazing experience for our students. Students leave each morning exhilarated and return exhausted. Today, we were happy to learn all students mastered the ski lift. Way to go! Next week, the 5-year-olds through 8-year-olds will get their chance to conquer the mountain. A special thank you to Mrs. Selma Sakic, Ms. Irma, and Mr. Muamer who work tirelessly to ensure all students have an incredible experience!

I hope to see all secondary parents and students next Thursday evening for Secondary Night. All parents interested in organizing a Country Booth for International Day should notify PSG by February 16th. Country Booth Forms, indicating any and all logistical needs that the booth will need, are due on Monday, March 5th.
