Welcome to Baku International School

Baku International School is an exciting place to be. Not only do we inspire students to achieve high academic standards, but we also provide an environment that fosters a love for learning. A teaching staff are qualified professionals who bring a wide expertise of educational experience for students, 2 to 17 years old. QSI curriculum includes a rigorous course of study that prepares students to successfully enter universities around the world.

English is the language of instruction. Intensive English (IE) classes are provided for students who enter QSI and have not yet learned the English language. These IE classes are small so that the students can have special “intensive” lessons to quicken their mastery of the English Language.

Baku International School is fully accredited by Middle States Association of School and Colleges and is also a member of the College Board. College Board membership allows our school to administer the SAT test, which is a college entrance examination recognized by universities and colleges around the world. Through this membership, BIS also offers a wide variety of Advanced Placement (AP) Courses for the Secondary students. We also offer the AP Capstone Program.

BIS offers a well-rounded program that includes art, music, technology, sports, and foreign languages. The  Middle School and Secondary sports program is possible through the Silk Road Athletic Association. We participate in local sports and academic activities as well as activities around the region. A variety of activities is offered to the Elementary students two times each week.

The Parent Support Group (PSG) is an active group that provides support to the school. These parents organize activities and events, such as “International Banquet” and “Fine Arts Festival”—and they also assist the classroom teachers.

Baku International School is a family of parents, students, teachers, and staff working together. I invite you to come and join us.

We Care!

Sincerely,
