12-13 Year Olds Classes and Secondary School

Certified subject area specialist teachers instruct all courses for 12-13 year olds and secondary level courses at Baku International School. Subject areas include literature, writing, mathematics, history, science, technology, languages, physical education, and a variety of electives. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are
 offered in multiple subject areas, based on student interest. The school program includes eight-period days, and students at the Secondary level earn credits towards graduation. Three graduation diplomas are offered at Baku International School: General Diploma, Academic Diploma, and Academic Diploma with Honors. Students enjoy an active Student Government and a rich array of after-school activities, sports, and social events.

Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. AP classes are offered in our Secondary program and are transferable to other systems throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. These courses are rigorous and demanding, yet pushes students to their highest potential. Although many AP classes not offered on campus can be taken online, below is a list of AP classes offered on site at BIS:
