IB Diploma Programme
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) is offered by six QSI schools which have gone through the authorization process with IB Organization.
The IBDP is a two-year program designed to prepare students for university. It is offered to students during the final two years (Secondary III & IV) of the QSI Secondary school program. Students enrolling in IBDP will meet the requirements of a QSI diploma, and after external validation of final exams can possibly earn the IB diploma as well. The QSI courses offered in Secondary I & II (9th/10th grade US and Years 10/11 GB) prepare students to take IB courses. Students may elect to enroll in the IBDP as "full diploma" candidates, or as individual "course" candidates. Enrollment of students is done through one-to-one counseling with the school administration and the IB Coordinator. Prerequisite skills are required for the program.
QSI students have enjoyed a high success rate of 95% passing the diploma, and they have earned an average score of 35 points.
It is clear that a combination of QSI’s rigorous course work in the first two years of study before IB allows students to be prepared and successful in the IB Diploma Programme. IB diploma, in addition to a QSI diploma, will give students greater recognition when applying to European universities.
