International Baccalaureate Diploma Program: Kyiv International School has offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma program since 2004 and the program continues to grow and evolve through reflection and review. With more than twenty teachers involved with the IB curriculum and classes, there are varied opportunities for students enrolled in the program. Students are encouraged to enroll in the full diploma program, but also have the opportunity to enroll in classes for IB certificates. Our mission statement supports the successful implementation of the program at KIS.

Why IB? Many universities around the world look to the IB candidates’ scores when making admissions decisions Furthermore, many Canadian and American universities and colleges offer credits for IB classes successfully completed. Our KIS International Baccalaureate graduates have gone to universities around the world.

While the full diploma program is very rigorous, it encourages students to learn efficient study skills and time management. Kyiv International School IB graduates report that the skills they learned in IB are crucial for their successful transitions to university.

The CAS Program (Creativity, Activity, Service) encourages students to develop new interests, interact in a broader community, learn new skills and live a balanced lifestyle. Asking students to participate in a variety of activities, and to reflect on their experiences, fostera a wonderful sense of community and allows students to see how their actions impact those around them.

IB Courses at KIS: Students enrolled in the IB Diploma Program choose six core courses from six subject groups. For more details about the Diploma program please visit the IB Diploma Program website

At KIS we offer various options in each subject area. KIS IB Course Options
