Please Join the Parent Support Group (PSG)

What is the PSG?

The Parent Support Group is a group of parent volunteers that are interested in supporting QSI on behalf of our children and facilitating a positive, constructive dialogue between students, parents, administrators, teachers and staff at QSI.

If your child attends QSI Trinidad, then you can be a part of the PSG! We are a group of parents who volunteer our time to various tasks, activities, and events at QSI. It is our goal to help teachers and staff wherever needed, as well as support our children at school.

The more parents participate in schooling, in a sustained way, at every level—in advocacy, decision-making and oversight roles, as fund-raisers and boosters, as volunteers, and as teachers at home—the better for student achievement.

The amount of time you spend volunteering is up to you. There are many events that take place at QSI throughout the year. We need parents to serve in various ways and at various times.  If interested, you can volunteer at school once a week, once a month, or for a single event. Any time you are willing to donate is much needed and much appreciated. There will be emails sent home from time to time detailing when and how volunteers are needed.

Who are members of the PSG?

Any and all parents of QSI students are welcome!

When does the PSG meet?

The PSG generally meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 3:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. during the school year.

What does the PSG need from you?

We are looking for volunteers to assist with events and to be classroom representatives/ Room-Parents.

What are the responsibilities of a Room Parent?

Responsibilities of room parents include; maintaining open communication between the PSG and parents, and teachers and parents in your chosen classroom.

Also, to remain informed and engaged—we ask that room parents attend the monthly PSG meeting.

In addition, room parents have organized special parties for classrooms, with the permission of the teacher, acted as chaperones for field trips and coordinated gifts on teacher appreciation days.

Can we have Co-Room Parents?

Yes! Room-parents are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Please feel free to contact the PSG at and join us on Facebook at QSI Trinidad.
