QSI International School of Dushanbe is a non-profit school that opened in August, 2004. It offers a high quality educational program for children ages 3 to 13 with a curriculum based on mastery learning. All academic classes are taught in English by native speakers.

Classes are small, and instruction is individualized. We believe that all children can be successful, and we seek to create a positive learning environment. We know that children who enjoy their school learn more. We foster a family-like atmosphere, and parents are welcome visitors to the campus.

Our subjects include Reading, Language Arts, Science, Math, and Cultural Studies. We offer Intensive English classes to those who require them. Our students are offered classes in Technology, Physical Education, Music, Art, and Russian for beginners through native speakers. Students have a choice of after school activities that presently include ballet, art, piano, and gymnastics. We help our children learn about the culture of our host country, Tajikistan, by providing field trips and visits by local artists and musicians.

The school has recently moved to a new facility with larger classrooms, a large sunny library space and a large garden playground. It is conveniently located in the center of the city. The projected enrollment for August 2010 is 43 students. The facility is secure with a walled garden and guards on duty at all times to help children and visitors. There is a lunchroom and an indoor play space for inclement weather. The garden area is well maintained with plantings of roses and our own apple and persimmon trees.
