QSI International School of Bratislava, a private non-profit institution that opened in September of 1994, offers a rigorous American international education in the English language for early childhood (pre-school), elementary, middle and secondary students. Facilities are located in Dubravka, a close suburb of Bratislava. QSIB occupies the majority of the Iuventa (Slovak national youth and education organization) facility. The school features 35 classrooms, library,  computer laboratories, science laboratories, theater and playground areas. Other facilities also include an indoor swimming pool, fitness facility, dance and exercise rooms, gymnasium, snack bar and cafeteria. School bus service is available as well as an excellent local transportation system.

The school's educational philosophy features a performance based mastery learning approach with personalized instruction attributes. QSIB believes in success for all students. We maintain a warm, nurturing environment that encourages inquiry and supports a comfortable learning experience.

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of the school is to provide a rewarding educational experience that exceeds the requirements for study if or when a student returns to their home country or attends in another country/international school as well as for student study in the university of their choosing - in any country. Students representing over 30 nations attend QSIB. Slovak national students are proudly represented as well and the school maintains a cultural studies component which allows all students to learn the rich history of our wonderful host nation.

THE CURRICULUM includes English (reading, grammar, composition, conversation, keyboarding and spelling), mathematics, cultural studies (history, geography, economics, etc.), science, computer literacy, art, music, and physical education as part of the regular program. German, Slovak, and French are taught as foreign and native languages. Extra curricular activities and field trips are offered for students of all ages. Textbooks are provided to students without charge.

The secondary program offers students all standard subjects and electives. Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses are also offered for secondary school students. QSIB is proudly the first IB Diploma program in the city and the only AP Program. Dedicated college counselling is available for all students and QSIB is an official SAT test center.

QSI International School of Bratislava has earned accreditation through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, USA. The school is recognized by the Slovak Ministry of Education. We are members of the Central and Eastern European Schools Association and the Danube River Valley Conference of international schools.
