QSI Suriname  is gated and supervised all the time with a video camera system and we work closely with the American embassy security office and Surinamese private security providers as well. From drop off to pick up, two staff are always visible and available. Parents and drivers are asked to always have their ID card available.

School welcomes visitors during the day and they should have an ID or passport to submit at the office in the entrance and after that they are provided with a visitor badge to enter inside the building. When they leave they must return the visitor badge and get their ID back.

Parent Pass: School provides parents, guardians, and drivers permanent passes. The Family Pass is to be used only by the individual on the pass. Spouses, relatives, drivers, etc. may use the same pass. The pass allows parents and drivers to come on campus any time, but notifying the office of your arrival is necessary before opening the gate.

Emergency Actions: Throughout the school year, QSI Suriname students are trained with safety drills.  Our lock-down, evacuation (fire), and other drills are available with your teacher, but are not published for safety reasons.  Your children will share with you if they have had a drill, and usually following each drill, we will send a note home.
