Dear QSI International School of Bratislava Community,
I hope that you all had a wonderful Fall Break. The weather has been great, the colors are simply beautiful; but more importantly, the move to our new Samorin campus has already begun! Thanks to AGS International Movers we have already moved some desks, chairs, lockers, and books to our new building. Teachers have started packing books and materials that will not be needed until 8 January 2018. Another shipment will be sent later this month with the final move scheduled to be completed 18-20 December...a very exciting time!
Furthermore, we are proud to announce that we will have a Parent Tour of the new campus on Tuesday, 12 December @ 11am. Please tell your friends and your neighbors that everyone is welcome to view the truly modern and state-of-the-art facility...the most impressive school building in Slovakia, for sure!
Thank you, also, for input on our Transportation Survey. Three locations have been identified and approved for pick-up/drop-off beginning on 8 January 2018:
- Bory Mall - Iuventa parking lot - QSI Bratislava-Samorin campus
- Eurovea Mall - QSI Bratislava-Samorin campus
- Pezinok - Senec - QSI Bratislava-Samorin campus
Exact times for pick-up and drop-off will be determined shortly, but school hours remain at 8:55am - 4:10pm. Again, if you are interested in bus service (to/from the shuttle locations OR to/from QSI Bratislava-Samorin campus), please contact Ms. Elena @ elena-jurankova@svk.qsi.org
Additionally, as we grow, we continue to add caring and experienced educators to our team. Please welcome Ms. Miriam and Ms. Barbara to our Early Childhood Center (ECC) and Mr. Korbel to our Intensive English (IE) and Technology department.
In regards to student enrollment, our numbers continue to grow! As you all may remember, we started the year with 138 students on the first day of school. Now, I am pleased to announce that we have 163 students enrolled. We know that six or seven students are leaving our school since their families are transferring out of the country, but we have 15+ new students joining us after the move...expectations are to be over 175 students in January!
There is so much more to discuss, including the new snack and lunch program, new student activities (at or near the X-Bionic Sphere), and community spaces and programs at the new campus...weekly updates will continue over the next two months!
Your support throughout this transition is appreciated. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
Kind regards, Daniel
