School & Community
QSI International School of Dushanbe, is a private non-profit institution that opened in August of 2004 and offers a high quality education in the English language for elementary and secondary students. The warm and welcoming school community make it an ideal place to receive a quality education.
QSI International School of Dushanbe currently serves students age 2 through age 18 and has an enrollment of 73. The projected enrollment for the following year is expected to be 75. The students of QSI International School of Dushanbe represent 21 countries from around the world, providing the school with a wonderfully diverse learning environment. We welcome pre-school, elementary, and secondary students to our school and are prepared to provide a well-qualified teaching staff, a rigorous pre-school thru secondary curriculum, and necessary materials where needed.
The school is in an accessible, central part of the city. It has spacious classrooms, a large sunny library space and a large garden playground. The facility includes two outdoor play areas, one of which is designated for the 2 to 5 year-old classes, an indoor multipurpose room, a large storage area, a large library, a computer laboratory, kitchen and lunchroom, as well as 20 classrooms of varying sizes. The facility is secure with a walled garden and guards on duty at all times to help children and visitors. There is a lunchroom and an indoor play space for inclement weather. The garden area is well maintained with plantings of roses and our own apple and persimmon trees.
In addition to the regular Quality Schools International curriculum, QSI International School of Dushanbe offers students the opportunity to study Russian. There are also opportunities for students to participate in other school activities, extra-curricular activities, and community activities including chess, dance, football, basketball, computer club, and piano.
QSI International School of Dushanbe employs qualified and professional teachers who love teaching. Currently there are 6 full time teachers plus 12 part time teachers. Assisting them, there are 5 paraprofessionals along with all of the other faculty members that are needed to provide a learning environment in line with QSI's goal of providing a quality education to all students.
