QSI International School of Shenzhen-Shekou, is a private non-profit institution that opened in August of 2001 and offers a high quality education in the English language for elementary and secondary students. The warm and welcoming school community make it an ideal place to receive a quality education from QSI.
QSI International School of Shenzhen-Shekou currently serves students age 2 through age 17 and has an enrollment of 699. The students of QSI International School of Shenzhen-Shekou represent 51 countries from around the world, providing the school with a wonderfully diverse learning environment. We welcome pre-school, elementary, and secondary students to our school and are prepared to provide a well-qualified teaching staff, a rigorous pre-school thru secondary curriculum, and necessary materials where needed.
The school features 120+ classrooms, new science labs, library (30,000+ titles), seven computer labs, four outdoor play ground areas, basketball courts, 1,100 seat theatre and gymnasium. Additionally, we offer two large soccer fields and 400m track. Our campus is located in a convenient location for international families in the desirable Shekou community of Shenzhen. Door to door busing is available, as is a hot lunch program (Western, Korean and Japanese) for students. We seek to maintain small class sizes with an average of approximately 15 students per class.
In addition to the regular Quality Schools International curriculum, QSI International School of Shenzhen-Shekou offers students the opportunity to study French, Spanish, and Chinese Mandarin (AP and IB). There are also opportunities for students to participate in other school activities, extra-curricular activities, and community activities including over 120 different after school activities ranging from yoga and belly dancing to engineering and robotics.
QSI International School of Shenzhen-Shekou employs qualified and professional teachers who love teaching. Currently there are 130 full time teachers plus 4 part time teachers. Assisting them, there are 45 paraprofessionals along with all of the other faculty members that are needed to provide a learning environment in line with QSI's goal of providing a quality education to all students.
In 2006, QSI International School of Shenzhen-Shekou was accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and has maintained that accreditation in good standing.
