School & Community
Since 1993, the QSI International School of Minsk (ISM) has provided a quality education for preschool through secondary students for the international community in Belarus. From our first year when we began with less than ten students, the school has grown in numbers and reputation, becoming the school of choice for dozens of embassies and businesses in Minsk. ISM, a non-profit organization, works in cooperation with embassies and families from over 25 different countries making it a place of true diversity, where our students learn from one another. All subjects, except for our daily Russian Language classes, are taught in English by certified, qualified teachers.
QSI International School of Minsk currently serves students age 3 through age 17 and has an enrollment of 122. The students of QSI International School of Minsk represent 25 countries from around the world, providing the school with a wonderfully diverse learning environment.
The QSI International School of Minsk is located in the northern part of town directly off of Bogdanovich Street. ISM is housed within a three story separate building that provides ample space for an auditorium/ stage, music room, inside activity/PE room, large sunny art room, science lab, computer lab, library, cafeteria and 13 classrooms. The students enjoy breaks in our fenced outdoor court yard filled with climbing equipment, basketball hoop and swings. In the park behind the school students enjoy a large area to play football (soccer). The facilities create a cozy learning environment for our student body.
In addition to the regular Quality Schools International curriculum, QSI International School of Minsk offers students the opportunity to study Russian. There are also opportunities for students to participate in other school activities, extra-curricular activities, and community activities including model United Nations, dance, student council, swimming, and skiing.
QSI International School of Minsk employs qualified and professional teachers who love teaching. Currently there are 12 full time teachers plus 4 part time teachers. Assisting them, there are 3 paraprofessionals along with all of the other faculty members that are needed to provide a learning environment in line with QSI's goal of providing a quality education to all students.
In 2000, QSI International School of Minsk was accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and has maintained that accreditation in good standing.
