Baku International School moved into its present facility during the summer of 2004. The school is conveniently located near the Ganjlik district of Baku. The building was originally constructed in 1987 by the Soviet Builders Association as the logistics center of a concrete and steel works. For this reason, it is built over a bomb shelter and easily passes seismic testing against earthquake hazard. The building and its grounds underwent extensive renovation to meet up-to-date safety and security code standards that includes a high wall around the premises, security-screening entry facility and camera surveillance system. Each class enjoys the use of the following facilities: large entryway, cafeteria with industrial kitchen, indoor central courtyard gym, 400-seat auditorium, padded play room, Early Childhood center, music room, computer laboratory, Intensive English room, faculty work room, sick-bay and offices for counselor, secretary, accounting, Director of Instruction, and Director. Every precaution has been taken to assure that the playground equipment is safe and sound.
In addition to the regular Quality Schools International curriculum, Baku International School offers students the opportunity to study French, Azeri, Russian, and Turkish. There are also opportunities for students to participate in other school activities, extra-curricular activities, and community activities including organized team and individual sports.
Baku International School employs qualified and professional teachers who love teaching. Currently there are 25 full time teachers plus 2 part time teachers. Assisting them, there are 16 paraprofessionals along with all of the other faculty members that are needed to provide a learning environment in line with QSI's goal of providing a quality education to all students.
