QSI International School of Montenegro located in Podgorica, Montenegro is a private non-profit organization that opened in January of 2006 and offers high quality education in the English language for pre-school, primary, elementary, middle, and secondary school students from three years through eighteen years of age.

The school's educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery. QSI believes in success for all students. QSI teachers create a positive learning environment, which promotes greater learning and enjoyable learning experiences.

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of the school is to meet the needs of the children in Podgorica who require this type of education with a view to continuing their education in their home countries with a minimum of adjustment problems. This program is also offered to Montenegran citizens who seek this education with a view to higher studies outside of Montenegro. In addition to its scholastic goals, the school endeavors to provide its students with knowledge and understanding of Montenegro and its culture.

THE CURRICULUM includes English (reading, grammar, composition, and spelling), mathematics, cultural studies (history, geography, economics, etc.), science, computer literacy, art, music, and physical education as part of the regular program. The local culture and language are a part of every student's program of studies. Field trips are planned as part of the curriculum. Textbooks are loaned to students without cost.

3 and 4 Year-Old Program Students enrolled in this program engage in a variety of play-related and hands-on experiences designed to develop learning readiness, physical coordination and development, and the social skills necessary to be successful in a classroom setting. Emphasis is placed on the development of self-confidence, self-esteem, and natural excitement to learn. A full spectrum of activities is provided including music, computers, art, and play.  Families have the option of sending their children to the morning or full day program. The morning program focuses more on academic skills. The afternoon program includes related activities and supervised play.

5 Year-Old Program Students enrolled in this program develop skills and attitudes needed for academic disciplines. A variety of experiences develop eye/hand/body coordination and reading readiness. The program introduces reading, mathematics, oral and written language skills, science, and cultural studies. There is a continued emphasis on personal development through varied classes of music, computers, art, and physical education. Montenegrin is offered as a foreign language.

Age Levels 6 through 10 Years Elementary school students take a full program of mathematics, reading and language arts, science, cultural studies, art, music, physical education, and drama. Computer usage is integrated with the curriculum at all levels. Montenegrin is offered as a foreign language.  French is offered as a foreign language to the 9 and 10 year-old students.

Age Levels 11 through 13 Years Middle school students also take a full program of mathematics, reading and language arts, science, cultural studies, art, music, physical education, and drama. Computer usage is integrated with the curriculum. Montenegrin and French are offered as foreign languages. In some cases, middle school students may engage in advanced course work in French and Mathematics that will apply toward their secondary graduation requirements.

Secondary - 14 through 17 Year-Olds  The school has a small but growing Secondary program. The program will continue to expand in order to meet the needs of those enrolled. The school began offering some classes specifically for Secondary students in the 2011-2012 academic year. Secondary students also engage in some online course work. Online course work matches students with instructors who have specialized subject skills. QSI offers three diplomas – the General Diploma, the Academic Diploma, and the Academic With Honors Diploma. The school serves as a test center for those wishing to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), which is required for many university admission applications. Students who earn a diploma should expect admittance into an American college or university, or in some cases, universities in other countries.
