QSI International School of Chisinau, a private non-profit institution, offers high quality education in the English language for preschool (ages three and four), elementary students from five years through thirteen years of age, and an expanding secondary program. The school’s facilities, in the Buiucani district in northwest Chisinau, are located next to a large park. They include 12 classrooms, a library, technology center, art room, science lab, doctor’s office, lunch room, a gym with basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, and a spacious outdoor play area with a basketball court and a soccer field.
The school's educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery. We believe in success for all students. We seek to create a positive learning environment since we believe a child learns more if he enjoys his learning experience.
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of the school is to meet the needs of the children in Chisinau who require this type of education with a view to continuing their education in their home countries with a minimum of adjustment problems. This program is also offered to Moldovan citizens who seek this education with a view to higher studies outside of Moldova. In addition to its scholastic goals, the school endeavors to provide its students with a knowledge of Moldova.
THE CURRICULUM includes English (reading, grammar, composition, and spelling), mathematics, cultural studies (history, geography, economics, etc.), science, computer literacy, art, music, and physical education as part of the regular program. Language classes are offered in Romanian, Russian, German, Spanish, and French for appropriate age groups. Special activities such as dances, movies, or games take place on Fridays. Textbooks are loaned to students without charge.
