My name is Roberto and I am thrilled to be joining QSI Tbilisi community as an enthusiastic 6 Year-Old teacher. Passing my love for learning on to students is one of my passions, as is learning about new cultures. Trustworthiness, creativeness, and generosity are traits I hold most dear, and have assisted me during my professional growth process over the last twenty years I have been teaching.
I began my career in education as a private school teacher in Spain where I was teaching English, Music and Art for seven years. During the next three years, I expanded my knowledge in North Carolina, USA as a 5 Year-Old teacher in a large elementary school. My professional journey continued by joining the QSI family. I taught two years in Kazakhstan, four years in China, and five years in Bosnia and Herzegovina. While in Chengdu, China I
earned my Master's of Science in Education. I have also written Mathematics and Science curriculum for the organization. I look forward to the differences I will make during my eleventh year with QSI as a teacher in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Sondra and I are very excited for this upcoming year! We are looking forward to meeting all of you. The following is a snapshot of our lives over the last decades. In short, we have been married almost 42 wonderful years. Sondra and I are not only a married couple but best friends. We have four boys, all of whom are married with wonderful wives. We are also the grandparents of 9 precious grandchildren. Christopher, our oldest, is an architect with two daughters and commutes every day from New Jersey to New York City to work. Matthew, our second son, has two daughters and one son. He is a superintendent for a school district in Missouri. Jared, our third son, has one boy, and he crunches numbers for the Federal Government in Washington D.C. Marc, our youngest son, has three boys and works for Schlumberger. They live in San Antonio, Texas. We raised our family in Germany for the first 17 years. During this time, we volunteered our services and helped establish a German family publication, conducted family seminars, and wrote for the publication. The last 7 years of living in Germany, I worked for the German Government, servicing the Allied Forces. In 1989, after the Iron Curtain came down, my job was eliminated. We moved back to America where Sondra returned to college and got her teaching degree. (She has a Master’s Degree in Education.) She taught one and a half years in America, and we moved once again back to Berlin. Sondra taught two years at a bilingual school, John F. Kennedy School, where our boys had attended as children. Thereafter, we moved back to our home in Missouri, and I obtained my teaching degree. (I hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.) After teaching two years in America, we joined QSI. Since working for QSI, we have taught in Macedonia (F.Y.R.O.M.) three years, Albania four years, Hanoi, Vietnam one year, and in Kazakhstan two years. In Hanoi, I was a director of the QSI school, and Sondra taught lower elementary. In June, we were transferred to Atyrau. Sondra taught Level 7 both years. During my first year in Atyrau, I had many roles but was mainly the Director of Instruction. I was promoted to Director for the second year. We love kids and enjoy traveling, eating international foods, and reading. Lifelong learning can be summed up in what Aristotle wrote, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Hello students and parents!
My name is Cheryl Vogler and I am very excited to be joining the QSI Tbilisi team for the 2018-2019 school year. Prior to coming to Georgia, I have taught overseas for QSI Papa, Hungary as a 6 year-old teacher and Chengdu, China as a 9 year-old teacher. I was a middle school teacher for six years in New York state, and an upper elementary teacher in Connecticut prior to falling in love with overseas teaching.
I am a very passionate, outgoing person that comes from the northeast of the United States: Connecticut and New York. I received my Bachelors of Science and Master’s in Education from Manhattan College. During my time in the United States I spent time coaching basketball and swimming, which I successfully continued in Chengdu. I look forward to becoming involved in both the academics and extracurricular activities in Tbilisi.
Our names our Josh and Kyla Danos and we are excited to be joining the QSI team in Georgia this coming year! We have been teaching at QSI in Astana, Kazakhstan for the past three years. We are moving to Georgia with our two cats and all our skiing, camping, hiking and climbing gear. We are looking forward to all the many outdoor recreation opportunities that Georgia has to offer. Kyla will be teaching middle school and secondary art. I will be teaching middle school and secondary health and physical education.
Kyla has taught art for some time now, not just at QSI but in the U.S. as well. She enjoys all mediums although she has a particular fondness for painting nature outdoors. She is looking forward to working with students on a range of subjects and disciplines.
I have been teaching middle school subjects while at QSI. I have a passion for exercise and health. Currently I am a licensed ski instructor and actively engage in mountain climbing, rock climbing, and running. I have competed professionally in rodeo and still actively run in noncompetitive races wherever I can.
